Hello,
Here are some updates from the August Newsletter that you might have missed. (you can sign-up anytime):
It looks like we are stil able to make an impression: Our song “Bliss” made OurStage’s Editor Picks for August!
You can visit OurStage’s facebook page and download “Bliss” for free (courtesy of Old Wives’ Tale) along with other songs.
Pablo [drums] is fully recuperated from his dislocated shoulder he suffered in June (ouch!) after our gig in Los Angeles. Thank you for all your get-well messages and thank you for the photo that one of you caring fans sent to help him feel better…we think it did.
We also want to thank all of you that voted at the 10th Annual IMAs VOX POP Poll! You are the guilty party for making our home website www.listentotheold.com the winner of the “Best Design – Music Website” category, a collaboration between Dorotea & Maddness who took home the trophy.
If you haven’t already, go to Samsonite América Latina’s Facebook page and download a free copy of our song “Stranger” from our recent album Late-Night Paraphernalia (2010) curtesy ofTBWA Latin America and Old Wives’ Tale…man, we need to start charging for our songs, we don’t want to spoil you rotten.
And last but not least, we read some books on iframes and decided to add our own Facebook Music Store for those of you that can’t get enough of Old Wives’ Tale’s music. You are quite welcome, enjoy!
Cheers,
Old Wives’ Tale

Not that we mind Def Leopard, but we are not ready to have a drum set full of pedals so that Pablo [drums] can perform with his shinny new dislocated shoulder.
We are very sad to inform that our show at El Cid on Saturday, June 25 in Los Angeles has been cancelled due to a dislocated shoulder injury from our drummer Pablo. We don’t take any of our cancellations lightly and we hope you can understand that Pablo’s health is our top priority.
Thank you for your understanding and we’ll keep you posted on any updates.
Cheers,
Old Wives’ Tale

PS – Pablo is fine and getting better. Thank you for the love mail.
It’s been a busy first half of 2011 boys and girls!
We recently opened our west coast headquarters in Los Angeles so that we can cover more of the US of A, along with our east coast headquarters in Miami.
We teamed up (again) with our good friend Roberto Max Salas and Nick Panayotopoulos with their partytimewith.us campaign for Create or Else, Ogilvy’s YouTube channel. You can check out the song Bliss by yours truly on their promotion video The Party:
Also, our new friends from TBWA Latin America selected Stranger to be the official song for their new campaign for Samsonite Latin America. You can check out their official campaign page on facebook where you can even download Stranger for FREE or you can check out the official video Parkour with Adrián González below:
This past Saturday, we performed for the first time in Los Angeles at the infamous El Cid for a chance at a spot on the El Cid stage during Sunset Junction in August. Apparently the LA kids also enjoy our little tunes so we will be performing again on Saturday, June 25 (if Pablo’s [drums] shoulder gets better after he discolated it over the weekend) for the finals where the winner of the Sunset Junction spot will be selected. For more details you can visit the event page here. If you will be in Los Angeles, we hope to see you there!
Cheers,
Old Wives’ Tale

Hey pretty momma
BACK IN TOWN
hunted by my sin again
BACK IN TOWN
burn me with your fire
BACK IN TOWN
fire
dancing with the devil
i’m gonna pay the price
pay the price
i’m gonna loose my baby now you’re
BACK IN TOWN
Hey pretty momma
BACK IN TOWN
make me your true sinner now
BACK IN TOWN
lord have mercy please
BACK IN TOWN
LORDI LORDI
dancing with the devil
i’m gonna pay the price
i’m gonna loose my baby now
LOOSE MY BABY NOW
Hey pretty momma have you had enough
Hey pretty momma wont you dance alone for me
You know you make me want to shout…
pretty momma what ya doing?
you’ve already done wrong
hey pretty momma
(I) don’t wanna dance and rumble
you start to say come on and play
you start to sway to get your way
you feel my hand, you’re wet again
(are) you gonna dance or not?
hey pretty momma wont dance around for me
You know you make me want to shout
playing me again
Hey pretty momma have you had enough
Hey pretty momma wrap your legs around me wild thing
hey pretty momma
gonna pay the price
crawling back to a cold bed at home
…lost my baby
Josephine
let’s pretend that there is really nothing special here
we’ll just be lovers, no feelings dear
yeah yeah, no feelings baby
let’s not pretend this is love
just wanna take you home
let’s be fools seeing each other time and time again
convinced that this will soon end
oh I know that I should run away
I should stay away
but I can’t help it
I can’t help it
but I’m slowly thinking more about you girl
probably more than you’ll ever(never) know
but I can fell it
I can see it in you
I can feel it
I hate you for making me feel this good
where this will go, we will never know
oh baby, I’m addicted
can’t get enough of you
I’m addicted
oh I’m slowly falling for you
can’t begin to control myself
If only I could say no to you my sweet Josephine
I’ve had long nights washing away your smell
But I wouldn’t have had it any other way
there’s nothing here for us to regret
oh baby i gotta leave you
I gotta leave you
I have to quit you for good
In the past we’ve gotten over little things like this
I will pretend that you don’t exist
but I think I might have fallen
I might have fallen for you
just like you’ve fallen for me too
now I don’t know what to do with you
I’m hungry under your spell
if only I wouldn’t find traces of you Josephine
I’ll have to bid you farewell
oh I’m slowly falling for you
can’t begin to control myself
If only I could say no to you my sweet Josephine
I’ve had long nights washing away your smell
